A truck driver stopped at a quiet roadside diner for lunch after spending most of the morning behind the wheel. He was tired, hungry, and looking forward to nothing more complicated than a hot meal and a few peaceful minutes before getting back on the highway. He ordered a cheeseburger, a cup of coffee, and a generous slice of apple pie, then settled into a booth near the window. As he was about to take his first bite, the bell above the diner door jingled, and three rough-looking bikers walked in. They were dressed in black leather, boots covered with road dust, and expressions that suggested they weren’t particularly interested in asking permission for anything.
Before the driver could even react, the first biker walked over, grabbed the truck driver’s cheeseburger right off his plate, and took an enormous bite from it. The driver simply stared at him, saying nothing. Then the second biker reached over, picked up the driver’s coffee, and calmly drank it as though it had been ordered for him. The third biker didn’t hesitate either. He snatched the slice of apple pie and wolfed it down in just a few bites. The truck driver remained completely silent throughout the entire ordeal. He didn’t argue, threaten them, or even glare at them. Instead, he slowly stood up, walked to the counter, paid the waitress for his untouched meal, and headed toward the door.
The waitress watched him leave through the window, then looked back at the three bikers, who were sitting there grinning as if they had just won some kind of contest. One of them leaned back in his chair and growled, “He ain’t much of a man, is he?” The waitress glanced toward the parking lot, then gave them a strangely calm smile. “He’s not much of a driver, either,” she replied. The three bikers exchanged confused looks. Before they could ask what she meant, they heard the deep roar of an engine outside. They rushed to the window just in time to see the truck driver climbing into his massive 18-wheeler. A moment later, the truck lurched backward with terrifying force. The bikers’ smiles disappeared as they watched the trailer roll straight across the parking lot. By the time the truck pulled away, all three bikers were staring in stunned silence at what was left behind. He just backed his 18-wheeler over three motorcycles.

A husband went to the sheriff’s department to report that his wife was missing. He looked worried, exhausted, and more than a little nervous as he approached the desk. “My wife is missing,” he told the sergeant. “She went shopping yesterday and hasn’t come home.” The sergeant immediately reached for his notebook and began asking the standard questions. “All right, sir. We’ll do everything we can. What is her height?” The husband hesitated for several seconds before finally answering, “Gee, I’m not sure. A little over five feet tall.”
The sergeant wrote it down and continued. “Weight?” The husband frowned thoughtfully. “I don’t know. Not slim, not really fat.” The sergeant paused, then asked, “Color of eyes?” The husband stared at him blankly. “Never noticed.” The sergeant raised an eyebrow but kept writing. “Color of hair?” The husband shrugged. “Changes a couple times a year. Maybe dark brown.” The sergeant tried to remain patient. “What was she wearing when she left?” The husband thought for a moment before saying, “Could have been a skirt or shorts. I don’t remember exactly.” The sergeant slowly lowered his pen. “What kind of car did she go in?” “She went in my truck,” the husband replied.
The sergeant leaned forward, sensing that at least one useful detail might finally emerge. “What kind of truck was it?” The husband’s entire expression suddenly changed. For the first time since entering the station, he became extremely specific. “Brand-new 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4X4 with EcoBoost 5.0L 1/6 engine, special ordered with manual transmission. It has a custom matching white cover for the bed. Custom leather seats and ‘Bubba’ floor mats. Trailering package with a gold hitch. DVD with navigation, a 21-channel CB radio, six cup holders, and four power outlets. Added special alloy wheels and off-road Michelins. My wife put a small scratch on the driver’s door.” The sergeant stopped writing and stared at him. The husband’s voice suddenly became shaky, and his eyes filled with tears as he remembered that tiny scratch. “It was the only scratch on the whole truck,” he whispered. At that point, the husband started choking up. The sergeant slowly put down his pen, placed a reassuring hand on the man’s shoulder, and said, “Don’t worry, buddy. We’ll find your truck.”
